Ever since I was a child, I was fascinated with everything that had to do with space. Whether it be the mind-numbing vastness that caused feelings of insignificance among us all, or the complicated algorithms in regards to the physics and conundrums of the universe.
When I was thirteen I changed from my predicted career of being a geologist, to something much more incredible. While I had many choices of where to go once I made it through my doctorate degree, I chose to become an astro-physicist/astronomer as who could argue with a career such as staring at stars all day? My parents never believed that one day I would become such a famous scientist, nor did they believe that I would be on the first mission to our resident gas giant, Jupiter. Yet here we are, 2045, and the flight plan has been scheduled to depart in six-months. However, I digress, and I will discuss my humble beginnings. I started off as a wee lad, being interested in almost all careers. As I rose up through the grades, I began to experience something called 'maturity', albeit I'm still not fully there, and I chose to fully pursue my dreams. Even with my crowded schedule, featuring hockey, achieving my pilot's license, and the wonderful work load from Mr. Frost, I managed to succeed! (A miracle I say.) Now, as I stand here, in my early forties, although I still look like I'm twenty, I can see with much respect, Mr. Frost's homework assignments are what propelled me into the stars! |
